Managed Online Backup - Exchange Backup Solutions
Tiver
Launches the Least Expensive Online Backup and Fastest Restores of Large Exchange
Implementations
You can now get offsite, online backup, and the ability to restore terabytes
of data within hours, for less than £10.00 per GB per year.
There
is no expensive capital investment required and costs are 100% tax deductible.
How do you do it?
- We provide
you with three StoreVault disk arrays. Capacity of each array is up to
4.5TB of usable data, using RAID-DP, so up to two disks can be lost with no data
loss.
- Your
Exchange, SQL and any other Microsoft Office type files are centralised to the
first array.
- The data
from the first array is replicated to the second and third arrays.
- The second
and third arrays are placed in our secure data centre.
- You have
a dedicated circuit to continue backing up data to the remote arrays on a custom
schedule, up to once an hour.
What
happens if a user deletes a file?
- Simply restore it from the remote
array.
What
happens if there is a total disaster and you lose the first array?
- A
wizard-based procedure switches your users over to the second array in our vault,
and business continues as usual.
- Simultaneously, an emergency procedure kicks
in to pack up the third array in a military-strength padded container, and ship
it back to anywhere within the M25 within two hours, 7 x 24. We store about half of London’s
backup tapes in our secure facilities, and our fleet of vans and drivers and
have been providing this type of service for over 20 years.
What
is the best part about this solution?
- It is not a cobbled together
bunch of scripts running on some cheap Linux platform. The disk arrays
are world-class NetApp hardware and software, provided by the NetApp subsidiary,
StoreVault. This is the same software you would get if you paid hundreds
of thousands of pounds for a high end NetApp system. These are high performance
arrays, capable of handling up to 700 Exchange users, with enterprise-class snapshot
and replication software.
- Up until now, you would have paid something approaching £20,000.00 for
each NetApp disk array for this type of service.
What’s
the catch?
- Certain application-specific functions, such
as snapshots for Oracle, are not enabled on StoreVault.
- If you need to
back up Oracle in this manner, you still need to buy NetApp. But
if your priority is peace of mind for your Exchange and SQL users, this is the
best deal in the UK. Contact us now for a free trial at 0207 700 1429.
